Texas Team Solutions


Texas Team Solutions is a flexible educational workshop that uses 12 different modules addressing medications, coping skills, types of mental illnesses, medication compliance, supportive services, and more. This curriculum is taught by mental health consumers along with a mental health professional or family member to the other mental health consumers.

Target audience: People that live with a mental Illness and those that love them and are interested in Recovery. Exceeds the educational requirement of all the Levels of Care criteria in the Resiliency Disease Management Accountable System of Care.

Teacher: Consumer lead. Co-facilitators are either: (1) other consumers or (2) people that love them

Languages: Available in English and Spanish

Class size: 7 - 10

Time frame: Twelve weeks (each two hours) for certificate and the opportunity to be trained as a teacher. Missed classes can be picked up during the next cycle, but all twelve classes have to be completed before certificate is awarded. People with special interest in a particular topic(s) are welcome with prior arrangements.

  • Class 3: Managing Crisis and Emergency Situations
  • Class 4: Recovering from Mental Illness

  • Class 8: You and Your Treatment Team
  • Class 9: Understanding Your Treatment
  • Class 10: Getting the Best Results from Your Treatment
  • Class 11: Nutrition, Wellness, and Living a Healthy Lifestyle
  • Class 12: Fitness and Exercise
